Judas, the one in scripture who is the most condemned, is the true revealer of Christ.
성경에서 가장 정죄받는 유다는 그리스도의 참된 계시자입니다.
We call him Judas, but Judas and Judah are one.
우리는 그를 유다라 부르지만, 유다와 유다는 하나입니다.
In biblical thought, a man’s name reveals his character.
성서적 사고에서 사람의 이름은 그의 성품을 드러냅니다.
The full significance of the name is understood only when it is manifested in him who is the Word made flesh.
그 이름의 완전한 의미는 말씀이 육신이 된 그 안에서 나타날 때만 이해됩니다.
Tonight we will take the name “Judas” which is spelled “Yod He Vav Dalet He” [Ye-hu-da].
오늘 밤 우리는 “Yod He Vav Dalet He” [예후다]로 표기되는 이름 “유다”를 살펴볼 것입니다.
The Divine name “Lord” is “Yod He Vav He”, called “I AM”.
신성한 이름 “주”는 “Yod He Vav He”이며, “스스로 있는 자(I AM)“라 불립니다.
So we have the Divine name, “I AM” with dalet inserted into it.
그래서 우리는 신성한 이름 “스스로 있는 자”에 달렛이 삽입된 것을 갖습니다.
Dalet, the fourth letter of Hebrew alphabet, carries the symbol of a door.
히브리 알파벳의 네 번째 글자인 달렛은 문의 상징을 지닙니다.
So the central figure of the New Testament declares: “I AM the door.”
그래서 신약성서의 중심 인물은 선언합니다. “내가 문이다.”
Judas is called the betrayer of the Lord Christ Jesus.
유다는 주 그리스도 예수를 배반한 자로 불립니다.
The dictionary defines the word “betray” as “to reveal, to make known; or to deliver into the hands of the enemy.”
사전은 “betray(배반하다)“라는 단어를 “드러내다, 알리다. 또는 적의 손에 넘기다”로 정의합니다.
Jesus Christ is called the Word of God, this Word is truth.
예수 그리스도는 하나님의 말씀이라 불리며, 이 말씀은 진리입니다.
So the one who reveals (betrays) the truth is Judas and those who do not understand recoil from his message.
그러므로 진리를 드러내는(배반하는) 자는 유다이며, 이해하지 못하는 자들은 그의 메시지로부터 움츠러듭니다.
They are the enemy, although they know it not.
그들은 스스로 알지 못하지만 적입니다.
Who could reveal the secret of God but God himself?
하나님 자신이 아니고서야 누가 하나님의 비밀을 드러낼 수 있겠습니까?
Who could reveal your secret thoughts other than yourself?
당신 자신이 아니고서야 누가 당신의 비밀스러운 생각을 드러낼 수 있겠습니까?
I could take you into my confidence regarding certain things in my life, but no one can ever know my thoughts but myself.
저는 제 삶의 특정 사항에 관해 당신을 신뢰할 수 있지만, 저 자신 외에는 아무도 제 생각을 알 수 없습니다.
So if anyone reveals Christ as the Lord it must be God himself.

“He who dips with me into the dish.”

Who could dip with me but myself?

The Word of God is planted in every being and all the blows of life stir and agitate the Word, causing it to take root and begin to unfold.
하나님의 말씀은 모든 존재 안에 심겨 있고, 삶의 모든 타격은 그 말씀을 자극하고 흔들어, 뿌리내리고 펼쳐지기 시작하게 합니다.
Then the drama as first told in the Old Testament and explained in the New as the life of Jesus Christ, unfolds, and you – an individual – are cast in the starring role!
그러면 구약성서에서 처음 이야기되고 신약성서에서 예수 그리스도의 삶으로 설명된 드라마가 펼쳐지며, 당신이라는 개인은 주연으로 캐스팅됩니다!
You are that which is being revealed to yourself.
당신은 당신 자신에게 드러나고 있는 바로 그것입니다.
Now let me share an experience of mine that took place on the 10th day of October, 1966.
이제 1966년 10월 10일에 있었던 제 경험을 나누겠습니다.
I am in a room, say thirty feet square, teaching the Word of God to twelve men.
저는 약 30피트 정사각형의 방에서 열두 명의 남자에게 하나님의 말씀을 가르치고 있습니다.
We were all dressed in ancient robes and seated on the floor.
우리 모두는 고대 의복을 입고 바닥에 앉아 있었습니다.
Suddenly one man rose and quickly left the room.
갑자기 한 남자가 일어나 재빨리 방을 나갔습니다.
As he walked out the door I knew he was going to tell the authorities what he had heard.
그가 문을 나서는 순간, 저는 그가 들은 것을 당국에 알리러 가리라는 것을 알았습니다.
Then a tall, handsome man about forty years old and about 6’4″ in height, beautifully attired in costly robes, entered.

We all rose and stood perfectly still as he walked in.

Walking straight as an arrow to the end of the room, he turned at a right angle and walked to the end of the room, turned at a right angle and walked to the centre, turned and approached me.
화살처럼 똑바로 방 끝까지 걸어가서 직각으로 돌아 방 다른 쪽 끝까지 간 다음, 다시 직각으로 돌아 중앙으로 와서, 돌아서서 제게 다가왔습니다.
Then he hammered a wooden peg into my shoulder and taking a sharp instrument, with one circular motion he severed the sleeve of my robe, pulled it off, and discarded it.
그리고 그는 나무못을 제 어깨에 박고 날카로운 도구를 가져다가, 한 번의 원형 동작으로 제 옷소매를 잘라내어 벗겨서 버렸습니다.
Extending his arms to form the cross he embraced me, kissed me on the right side of my neck, as I kissed him on the right side of his neck.
팔을 뻗어 십자가 모양을 만들고는 저를 껴안았고, 제가 그의 오른쪽 목에 입 맞추자 그도 제 오른쪽 목에 입 맞추었습니다.
As we embraced and the scene began to fade, I saw the discarded sleeve.

It was the bluest of blue.

Now let me turn to the 14th chapter of the Gospel of Mark, the 41st to the 45th verses.

Imagination is speaking, saying: “The hour has come.”
상상력이 말하고 있습니다. “때가 왔도다.”
(You will notice that everything is on time.)

“The hour has come; the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”
일어나라, 가자. 보라, 나를 배반하는 자가 가까이 왔느니라.”
Then the evangelist speaks of the one who enters, saying: “The betrayer has given them a sign that the one he shall kiss is the man, seize him and lead him out safely.”
그때 복음서 저자는 들어오는 자에 관해 말합니다. “배반하는 자가 그들에게 신호를 주었으니, 그가 입 맞추는 자가 그 사람이니, 그를 붙잡아 안전하게 끌고 나가라.”
Then comes the finale, as the story of the betrayer is repeated, beginning with the words: “My hour has come.”
그리고 “나의 때가 왔도다”라는 말로 시작하여 배반자의 이야기가 반복되면서 대단원이 옵니다.
This true story unfolds in man, for every man has the Word buried in him.
이 참된 이야기는 사람 안에서 펼쳐지는데, 모든 사람 안에 말씀이 묻혀 있기 때문입니다.
One day that Word will burst the seed and expand into the tree of life.
어느 날 그 말씀은 씨앗을 터뜨리고 생명나무로 확장될 것입니다.
Judas was not the one that departed to tell what he had heard.
유다는 들은 것을 알리러 떠난 자가 아니었습니다.
Judas is the revealer.
유다는 계시자입니다.
No one knew who the betrayer was, only that he was to enter quickly, go straight to the one who is being revealed, and kiss him.
아무도 배반자가 누구인지 몰랐고, 다만 그가 빨리 들어와서, 드러나고 있는 자에게 곧장 가서 입 맞출 것이라는 것만 알았습니다.
Walking as fast as a soldier does on a rapid march, Judas embraced me, called me “Master,” and revealed me as the one in authority – fulfilling the 22nd and the 53rd chapters of Isaiah.
군인이 속보로 행진하듯 빠르게 걸어와서, 유다는 저를 껴안고 “주인님”이라 부르며, 저를 권위 있는 자로 드러내어 이사야 22장과 53장을 성취했습니다.
Hammering the peg upon my shoulder, I was given complete authority over all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the world until the end, when the peg will fall and I am relieved of its burden.
못이 제 어깨에 박힘으로써, 저는 마지막에 못이 떨어지고 그 짐에서 벗어날 때까지 예루살렘과 세상의 모든 주민에 대한 완전한 권위를 받았습니다.
The question is asked in the 53rd chapter of Isaiah: “Who has believed our report and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
이사야 53장에서 질문합니다. “우리가 전한 것을 누가 믿었느냐? 여호와의 팔이 누구에게 나타났느냐?”
In this world the right arm is symbolised in the Mass, in that communion must be taken with the right, never the left hand.
이 세상에서 오른팔은 미사에서 상징화되는데, 성찬은 반드시 오른손으로 받아야 하며 왼손으로는 결코 받을 수 없습니다.
These fellows come down, clothed in their ecumenical costumes, with a cloth on their right arm.
이 친구들은 교회 일치 운동 의상을 입고 오른팔에 천을 두른 채 내려옵니다.
There was a Cardinal here who developed some kind of a clot in his right arm, and when they amputated it he was given special permission from the Pope to conduct the Mass with his left hand.
여기 한 추기경이 오른팔에 혈전 같은 것이 생겨 절단했을 때, 교황으로부터 왼손으로 미사를 집전해도 된다는 특별 허가를 받았습니다.
All this is symbolism on this level, and on the higher level the sleeve is severed to reveal the arm of the Lord.
이 모든 것은 이 차원에서의 상징이며, 더 높은 차원에서는 주의 팔을 드러내기 위해 소매가 잘립니다.
Now, “The hour has come when the son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.”
이제, “인자가 죄인들의 손에 넘겨질 때가 왔도다.”
Who are the sinners?
죄인들은 누구입니다?
Those who recoil from the revelation of the truth that the human imagination is God!
인간의 상상력이 하나님이라는 진리의 계시로부터 움츠러드는 자들입니다!
Tonight one billion who say they believe in Christ will recoil from the thought that their human imagination is God, and do not know they are sinners, enemies of the truth; for the true Christ is God’s power and wisdom housed in Man as his own wonderful human imagination.
오늘 밤 그리스도를 믿는다고 말하는 십억 명의 사람들이 자신의 인간 상상력이 하나님이라는 생각에 움츠러들 것이며, 자신들이 죄인이며 진리의 적임을 알지 못할 것입니다. 참된 그리스도는 사람 안에 그 자신의 놀라운 인간 상상력으로 내재된 하나님의 능력과 지혜이기 때문입니다.
Those who do not accept the truth but see only its embodiment would destroy him, but he who recognised the personification of truth embraces him with extended arms.
진리를 받아들이지 않고 그 화신만을 보는 자들은 그를 파괴하려 하겠지만, 진리의 인격화를 알아본 자는 팔을 뻗어 그를 껴안습니다.
The word “Judas” means “to celebrate; the hand of power, to revere; to worship with extended hand.”
”유다”라는 단어의 의미는 “찬양하다. 능력의 손, 경외하다. 손을 뻗어 경배하다”입니다.
That is exactly what he did – he extended his hands to me.
그것이 바로 그가 한 일입니다 – 그는 제게 손을 뻗었습니다.
He was the celebrant conducting the Eucharist; putting into the shoulder that which would form the burden of Israel, he extended his arms, embraced me, and betrayed me with a kiss.
그는 성찬을 집전하는 주례자였습니다. 이스라엘의 짐을 형성할 것을 어깨에 지우고, 그는 팔을 뻗어 저를 껴안았으며, 입맞춤으로 저를 드러냈습니다.
Judas is he who reveals you to yourself!
유다는 당신을 당신 자신에게 드러내는 자입니다!
So, scriptural characters are known only as they are manifested in you who are the Word made flesh!
그러므로 성경의 인물들은 말씀이 육신이 된 당신 안에서 나타날 때만 알려집니다!
The whole vast world – misunderstanding the story – condemns the revealer, and anyone who reveals this truth is condemned.
온 세상은 이야기를 오해하고 계시자를 정죄하며, 이 진리를 드러내는 누구든 정죄받습니다.
But Judas, the revealer of scriptural truth, is in you and when you arrive at a certain point, like a tree bearing fruit he will be made manifest.
그러나 성경적 진리의 계시자인 유다는 당신 안에 있으며, 당신이 특정 지점에 도달하면 열매 맺는 나무처럼 그가 나타날 것입니다.
Judas is known in his full significance only when he is made manifest in you, the Man who is the Word made flesh.
유다는 말씀이 육신이 된 사람인 당신 안에서 나타날 때만 그의 완전한 중요성이 알려집니다.
Let me now share an experience of a lady who is tasting of the power of the age to come.

She said: “One afternoon in May of 1965 I was lying on the floor with my eyes closed, claiming that I could get out of my body if I wanted to.

Suddenly I am viewing a country scene, as a horse-drawn carriage appears to my left with two people in it.

The road is unpaved, yet the dust does not stir.
길은 비포장도로였지만 먼지는 일지 않았습니다.
It is lined with trees in the act of motion, but not moving.
길가에는 움직이는 듯하나 움직이지 않는 나무들이 늘어서 있었습니다.
Ladies in skirts to their ankles and men wearing period clothing were standing to my right, three abreast, all facing the carriage.
발목까지 오는 치마를 입은 부인들과 시대 의상을 입은 남자들이 제 오른편에 세 명씩 나란히 서서 모두 마차를 향하고 있었습니다.
Everything seemed to be in the process of motion, yet perfectly still.
모든 것이 움직이는 과정에 있는 듯했으나 완벽하게 정지해 있었습니다.
Then I intuitively knew that my presence made them inactive, and that when I left they would become animated again.
그때 저는 직관적으로 제 존재가 그들을 비활성화시켰고, 제가 떠나면 다시 움직이게 되리라는 것을 알았습니다.
Instantly I am back on the floor, and – knowing I was there only a second ago and completely awake and aware – I asked myself: ‘Where was I?’
즉시 저는 바닥으로 돌아왔고, 불과 1초 전에 그곳에 있었으며 완전히 깨어 의식하고 있었음을 알면서 스스로에게 물었습니다. “나는 어디에 있었지?”
and a voice within me answered: ‘Paris, 1778.’”

May I tell you: this world is a play.
말씀드리겠습니다. 이 세상은 연극입니다.
Like the first act of any play, nothing has passed away, but is reenacted over and over again.
어떤 연극의 1막처럼, 아무것도 사라지지 않고 계속해서 반복 상연됩니다.
Man, totally unaware that the world is a play and the garments dated, animates a section of time until the buried Word of God hatches out and he is born from above.
사람은 세상이 연극이고 의상이 시대에 뒤떨어진다는 것을 전혀 알지 못한 채, 묻힌 하나님의 말씀이 부화하여 위로부터 태어날 때까지 시간의 한 부분을 활성화시킵니다.
That Word housed in you must be born from above for you to inherit the kingdom of God.
당신 안에 있는 그 말씀은 당신이 하나님 나라를 상속받기 위해 위로부터 태어나야 합니다.
And when you do, you will discover this world which seems so alive, to be dead.
그리고 그렇게 될 때, 당신은 이토록 생생해 보이는 이 세상이 죽어 있음을 발견할 것입니다.
Those who are having these experiences are tasting of the age to come, when one by one we are all united into a single being who is God.
이러한 경험을 하는 사람들은 다가올 시대를 맛보고 있는 것이며, 그때 우리는 하나씩 모두 하나님이신 단일 존재로 통합될 것입니다.
One being buried himself in all!
한 존재가 모든 것 안에 자신을 묻었습니다!
His buried self containing his plan of salvation is called the Word.
그의 구원 계획을 담고 있는 그의 묻힌 자아는 말씀이라 불립니다.
Now, the words Judah, Judas, and Jew are one and the same in scripture and mean the creative hand of God.
이제, 유다, 유다, 그리고 유대인이라는 단어는 성경에서 동일하며 하나님의 창조적인 손을 의미합니다.
The word begins with the letter “Yod” meaning “hand”, then comes “He,” “Vav,” – and in the word “Judas,” a “Dalet” (a door) is added.
그 단어는 “손”을 의미하는 글자 “요드“로 시작하고, 그다음 “헤”, “바브“가 오며, “유다“라는 단어에는 “달렛“(문)이 추가됩니다.
Are we not told: “I am the door; anyone who enters by me is saved”?

You can only come through the one door.

It is through this door of awareness that he enters and embraces you.

He betrays you by revealing you to yourself as the being upon whose shoulder the responsibility and authority of many are nailed.
그는 많은 이들의 책임과 권위가 못 박힌 어깨를 가진 존재로서 당신을 당신 자신에게 드러냄으로써 당신을 배반(계시)합니다.
Every one of us exercises the right to turn this wheel of recurrence, as we pass through the same scene over and over again.
우리 각자는 같은 장면을 반복해서 지나면서 이 윤회의 바퀴를 돌릴 권리를 행사합니다.
This lady saw a scene in the year 1778.
이 부인은 1778년의 한 장면을 보았습니다.
I have entered scenes just as solid and real as this room, knowing that if I arrested an activity in my imagination everything will stand still.
저는 만약 제 상상 속에서 어떤 활동을 멈추면 모든 것이 정지할 것임을 알면서, 이 방만큼이나 견고하고 실제적인 장면들 속으로 들어갔습니다.
I have entered a restaurant and, observing people being served, I have arrested an activity within me and everything stills.
저는 식당에 들어가 사람들이 음식을 제공받는 것을 관찰하다가, 제 안의 활동을 멈추었고 모든 것이 정지했습니다.
Releasing it, everything continues as intended.
그것을 풀자 모든 것이 의도된 대로 계속되었습니다.
The world is a play which has already been written.
세상은 이미 쓰여진 연극입니다.
The players are merely actors on the stage, but getting carried away with the action you weep and laugh, for becoming involved in the emotions of the unfolding acts you do not realise it is only a play.
연기자들은 단지 무대 위의 배우일 뿐이지만, 연기에 휩쓸려 울고 웃습니다. 펼쳐지는 막의 감정에 몰입되어 그것이 단지 연극이라는 것을 깨닫지 못하기 때문입니다.
Imagination is buried in his predetermined play, from which he is born and dies over and over again until the Word buried with him awakens.
상상력은 미리 정해진 그의 연극 속에 묻혀 있으며, 그와 함께 묻힌 말씀이 깨어날 때까지 그곳에서 태어나고 죽기를 반복합니다.
That is God’s awakening and your extraction from the play, as told us in the Psalms: “To the Lord God belongs my redemption from death.”
그것이 하나님의 깨어남이자 연극으로부터 당신의 추출이며, 시편에서 우리에게 말한 바와 같습니다. “주 하나님께 나의 죽음으로부터의 구속이 속하였도다.”
God doesn’t redeem you from the outside, for every character in scripture is in you!
하나님은 당신을 외부에서 구속하지 않으십니다. 성경의 모든 인물이 당신 안에 있기 때문입니다!
All things exist in the Human Imagination, which is the Divine Body!
모든 것은 신성한 몸인 인간 상상력 안에 존재합니다!
The Word of God which was with God and is God, is the play.
하나님과 함께 있었고 하나님이신 하나님의 말씀이 바로 그 연극입니다.
It takes experiences of this world to agitate it and get it in motion in order for God to awaken; and as he does, all the characters of scripture enter to play their part.
하나님이 깨어나기 위해서는 이 세상의 경험들이 그것을 자극하고 움직이게 해야 합니다. 그리고 그가 깨어날 때, 성경의 모든 인물들이 들어와 자신의 역할을 합니다.
Judas appears to betray the Son of man, yet the Son of man is Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who is one with God.
유다는 인자를 배반하는 것처럼 보이지만, 인자는 예수 그리스도이며, 예수 그리스도는 하나님과 하나이신 하나님의 아들입니다.
Judas reveals you – the Son of man – to be one with God the Father.
유다는 당신, 즉 인자를 하나님 아버지와 하나임을 드러냅니다.
Then he delivers you into the hands of the enemy, for you are compelled to tell your experience and those who hear it will recoil, for they know it is not so.

They attack because they do not know God’s revelation unfolds from within!

Test your own wonderful human imagination this night and believe in the reality of Christ, your creative power.

Believe that all things are possible to him.
모든 것이 그에게 가능하다는 것을 믿으십시오.
Imagine the state you desire to express in this world, and as you go about your business you will see how quickly it will come to pass.

Then one day scripture will unfold in you, casting you in the central role, but in the interval you are free to choose whatever you want to be or do.

Have you ever seen “Hamlet”?

I have seen it maybe a dozen times as different actors play the part, and no two interpret Hamlet alike.

Each differs in his interpretations, as is their privilege.

And so it is with the part you are now playing.

You can change it and play it differently if you desire, but you will not go outside of the framework of God, because his framework is within you.

His play will unfold in you, for the outer part doesn’t really matter – it simply goes on forever.

The scene this lady saw in 1778 in Paris remains forever as a part of the play.

Because God is his own Word, which is buried in all and contains his plan of salvation, he died and reached the limit of contraction that you might live.
