(Neville Goddard Lecture: ‘I Remember When’)

Paul, writing his second letter to Timothy, said: “Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David, as preached in my gospel.”

Paul did not say remember Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin, who taught in the temple, healed the sick, and raised the dead.

No. Paul speaks of a risen Lord, one who rose from the state of death.

And then he equates this Risen Lord with David.

Now, this is a puzzle, a great mystery, which cannot be understood by the rational mind.

It can only be understood by revelation, when the story of Jesus Christ unfolds in you.

When it does, you will know that you are the Risen Lord, and that David is your son.

You will remember when you were not the Father.
여러분은 자신이 아버지가 아니었을 때를 기억할 것입니다.
You will remember when you were only a son, dreaming this dream of life.

But when the dream is over, you will awaken as the Father, and your son, David, will stand before you and call you Father.

This is the great mystery, the secret of “I remember when.”

The drama of scripture is not secular history, but salvation history.

It is a mystical drama which takes place in the imagination of every man.

You are the central character in your own drama.
여러분은 자신의 드라마에서 중심인물입니다.
You are playing all the parts.
여러분은 모든 역할을 하고 있습니다.
You are the one who is crucified, buried, and resurrected.
여러분은 십자가에 못 박히고, 묻히고, 부활하는 자입니다.
You are the one who ascends into heaven.
여러분은 하늘로 승천하는 자입니다.
You are the one upon whom the Holy Spirit descends.
여러분은 성령이 임하시는 자입니다.
And you are the one who remembers when you were not the Father.
그리고 여러분은 자신이 아버지가 아니었을 때를 기억하는 자입니다.
This is the story of Jesus Christ, and it is your story.
이것이 예수 그리스도의 이야기이며, 그것은 여러분의 이야기입니다.
Do not look for him in history.
역사 속에서 그를 찾지 마십시오.
He is not there.
그는 거기에 없습니다.
Look for him in your own wonderful human imagination, for that is where he is.

And when you find him, you will find yourself.
